Life here is getting a little crazy again. Earlier this week my husband discovered a HUGE puddle of oil under his/J's truck after work.
(When J was around 4 or 5 we were visiting grandpa. J loved the horn on grandpa's truck because it could sound like a horse, chicken siren etc. He asked grandpa for the truck and grandpa said he would sell it to J for $35. J said okay, he already had $25 and would get him the rest. Grandpa didn't want to go back on his word so he asked if he could keep the truck until he had a new one and J agreed. When grandpa got a new vehicle my hubby went back to Florida to pick up J's new truck. He was 8 at the time. J agreed to let dad drive his truck until he was old enough. How many 8 year old boys do you know that own their own truck?!)
He drove it home and cleaned the engine and tried to locate the leak. Couldn't find it. Put more oil in it and tightened some things here and there (can you tell I am engine illiterate?). Next day he took it to work only to discover it was still spewing oil. He now thinks that he knows what the problem is but will have to spend the weekend tearing into it to try to find and fix the problem. So until it is fixed he has to take my van, which has at least 1 bad CV joint, a miss in the engine, and a power steering problem, to work. That means the kids will have to get up earlier than usual and ride the bus to school. We had planned to buy me a new to us van next month when income taxes come in. Looks like we may have to get two vehicles and park the truck. Still, I know that God will provide what we need, even if it means being a 1 vehicle family again.
Baby A is really picking up the sign language that I have been teaching her. It really makes things much easier than it was with the others. She is able to tell me she wants a drink and even what type (milk, juice or water). She asks for ice, she asks for a bite, she signs please and thank you. It amazes me how much she is picking up. Seems she is learning sign language faster than I am.
Okay, so it's Saturday and that means another snowflake pattern. This week the pattern is from Cheri's Crochet. It appears to be a bit more hefty in appearance than previous patterns I have posted, but that is why I like it. While there, check out her other patterns, she has another snowflake and a butterfly that I have now added to my to-do list. So, here is the link to her Crochet Lace Snowflake.
Hope you have a blessed weekend!
Love,
