Last year for Lent I decided to make a hat a day to give away. (You can read about it and see last year's hats by searching "Lent" in the sidebar.) I am doing it again this year. I hope to use a different pattern every day, but we will see how it goes. Patterns will all be available for free, and I will share the links with you. Some will be knit and some crochet. If you chose to make one, would you consider making an extra to donate to God's Tiny Angels? They sure would appreciate it! And if you know of a pattern you would like me to make for a newborn or preemie I would love for you to share it with me in the comments!
So here are last weeks hats:
This is the Eyelet Hat designed by Deanna Pate. You can run a piece of ribbon or I-cord through the eyelets right above the ribbing if you chose to.
This is the Bow Tie Baby Hat designed by Janice MacDaniels. I love the bow tie at the top, but next time I think I will leave the garter stitching out and just knit every row.
This is the Tulip Preemie Cap designed by Dee Stanziano. This is one of my favorite hats to crochet. It works up quick and cute! I left off the leaf portion that is supposed to go on the top.
The final hat this week is Olivia's Butterfly designed by Valerie Whitten. To make it baby sized I used a G hook and omitted round 5.
All the projects this week were worked with Bernat Baby Sport Big Ball Yarn in the colorway Candy Baby. Next week is for the boys.
